For as long as I can remember I have loved the arts and being creative. As a child, I grew up on Lucien Street and Oleander Ave where I learned to hand sew and tailor my clothes. An awkward young girl, I was always surrounded by my grandmothers beautiful ball gowns and custom pieces. As a self taught designer, this is where I found my voice and self confidence. I am a Wife, a Mother and a Designer. I have been sewing for 8+ years by watching YouTube videos, creating my own patterns and through social media. The moment I made my first garment I knew I had found my calling! I am a Cali native but have been living my dream in the beautiful city of Pasadena, CA where by day, I enroll kids into school, eat Pizza every Friday with my 7 year old, and binge watch TV. I recently came across a young artist who shared, "What good is the gift, if we are not sharing." Lucien + Oleander is an opportunity to share with you my love story for creating beautiful moments for women one garment and one design at a time.

Mindy Marzec & Renee Dalo
Mindy Marzec has been communicating with others via the internet in some way or another since 1991 when her family got their first computer and she discovered the Prodigy message boards. Mindy started blogging at This Fairy Tale Life in 2011 to document her Disneyland wedding planning and to also create a community and resource for other Disneyland Brides, something that she found to be seriously lacking within cyberspace. Now, This Fairy Tale Life shares Disneyland wedding news, travel recaps and tips, recipes, DIY projects, and random tidbits about Mindy’s “fairy tale” life. Mindy launched Joy Social – a Social Media Consulting business – in 2015 to help wedding professionals market to brides and grooms via the ever-changing and fast-paced platforms of social media. She offers one-on-one consulting sessions and is available to speak to your group!. Aleisha McCormack is an Australian author, podcaster, and TV producer. She has written, presented and produced some of Australia's most loved television and performed solo stand up comedy shows at international comedy festivals. Aleisha and her husband Rich got hitched in Melbourne in an intimate DIY wedding in 2012. Surprised by the level of A1 bullshit surrounding the wedding industry and additional pressure placed on couples to plan a 'perfect party,' Aleisha was inspired to start a podcast, Bridechilla, to inspire and empower couples to plan their own wedding without losing their sanity. Having now produced over 300 episodes and over 1 million listens of the podcast, Aleisha has built a community of free-thinking Bridechillas from all over the world, Aleisha is delighted and surprised that what she started has become a movement. In 2018 Aleisha launched her books the 'Bridechilla Survival Guide' and 'Bridechilla Field Guide.' Capturing the ethos of the podcast, The Guides are bullshit-free, useful and fun. Aleisha's next book 'The Maidchilla Manual,' a guide to being a bad-ass Bridesmaid, ditching the drama and get shit done will be released in early 2019.

Hi I am Claire! I'm the founder of get found stock - a stock photography site for creative females. The reason I started Get Found Stock in the first place is because I wanted to help other creative entrepreneurs grow their business. As a wedding photographer for the past ten years, I noticed that I was consistently growing my business all due to INSTAGRAM. Once I went full force with this social media platform I was able to be booked out on a regular basis. Over time I realized that my main goal was to help other creatives do the same. One of the main issues I saw with so many creatives was their photography wasn't always so great. This lead to me creating Get Found Stock. I now help creative entrepreneurs grow their social media, brand, and business.

I'm a content strategist and copywriter living and working in the Bay Area. I started my career eight years ago as a receptionist at one of the biggest publishing houses in New York City—and soon began writing book jacket copy for paperback westerns and steamy romance. I feigned brave, left my 9-5, and started my own boutique copywriting agency out of our one-bedroom Brooklyn apartment. I work with companies — from the smallest start-ups to the most complex corporations — that need product copy, brand and brand voice development, naming, and content strategy. I've worked with hundreds of designers and love collaborating in product development. I have a soft spot for work involving beauty, design, tech, and the outdoors.

My name is Maisha Dyson and I help people break through personal and professional communication barriers and become unstoppable. I am a Certified Movement Analyst (CMA), former Actor, Entrepreneur and Educator. My clients have included Authors, Entrepreneurs, Actors, Corporate Executives and other Professionals that required coaching for presentations, pitch meetings, media training, stage and film. As a CMA/Coach/Educator I have the ability to help my clients: • Apply powerful communication techniques for business, a series of verbal skills and the mindfulness of body language - the way you look, sound, move - that engage, influence, inspire and persuade. • Develop compelling content including personal stories that encourage natural communication based on shared affinities, while avoiding the habitual tendency to overwhelm your audience with too much technical information. • Skillfully manage the awkwardness and tension that naturally occurs in the body when speaking and learn to be present and comfortable. • Create speaker/presentation notes that are easy to remember and help you keep track of your content/dialogue while speaking to an audience. • Learn key techniques that make effective use of your limited time during elevator pitches. • Anticipate questions (and objections) and maintain your composure in difficult situations.
I'm Mallory! I'm a mom to two wonderful children (and another on the way!!!) and the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Taft - a direct-to-consumer men's footwear brand based in Provo, Utah. My husband, Kory and I were married in 2011 after a four month field study to India. There, I researched women's studies, and he obsessed over linguistics. We stay up too late, spend our free time talking shoes, and think our kids are the coolest people on the planet. I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2013 with an English degree and a minor in Anthropology. I have a deep love of the mountains, truly beautiful writing, and drinking tea in bed. I've also become extremely passionate about mental health as I've spent the last 7 years studying neuroscience, brain chemistry, and holistic living in an attempt to better understand my dear husband's 15-year struggle with treatment resistant depression. I am completely fascinated by the human body and passionate about helping others, particularly entrepreneurs, learn how to properly care for their mental health and avoid the entrepreneurial burnout that so many face. I'm a firm believer that no amount of monetary wealth is worth more than a healthy life.

I am a woman from the Midwest that worked/works hard to make her dreams come true. I juggle many titles: wife, daughter, sister, girl boss, entrepreneur, shop girl, and most recently added to the mix, mom. My daughter, Elizabeth Mae, is almost a year old and we absolutely adore her. My shop, Love of Character, was started 4 years ago as a small creative outlet to my corporate job, and has been growing ever since. The name comes from my search for items that are full of character - our house is almost 100 years old, and I love it's wonderful charm (even if it comes with old house baggage). Love of Character has grown from a home improvement blog to an Etsy shop to an online shop to now a brick and mortar. The front half of the store is a curated retail space, and the back half is rented out for small events. I like to say the shop is like a fancy mullet, "business in the front, party in the back!" I love that I am able to help people add character to their gifts, parties and life!

Your closet charges rent; clothes pay by being worn.” As a college fashion professor, and Anthropologie’s top personal stylist, I’ve consulted with hundreds of women and men, cleaning out their closets, helping them to embrace their body type, and discovering their personal style. Is fashion superficial? Absolutely! But wearing the right clothes can help you forget about what you’re wearing. Then you can get to work doing what is really important to you. We’ve got your formula for fashion from body type to complexion to signature style. So whether you’re plus size, pregnant, or petite, you’re going to look beautiful.

Susan Rowe Harrison
Susan Rowe Harrison makes drawings and site-specific installations for private, commercial, and alternative settings. She prefers to work in the architecture of the everyday—on the walls, windows, and doors that often go unnoticed or ignored until she leaves abstract traces in an explosion of color, natural light or, text. Her work is as likely to include a message as not. But when she does choose to include a message—about issues such global warming and bird-friendly design, immigrant communities, or simply, how to be a person in the world—they are often but not always verbal. Rowe Harrison holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from New York University and UC Berkeley respectively and studied painting and drawing at the School of the Art Institute in Chicago. Artist, designer, and ceramicist Molly Hatch began her career as a studio potter, infusing her tableware and home decor items with contemporary sensibilities and classical charm. The daughter of a painter and an organic dairy farmer, she draws from the beauty of everyday objects by imagining where each will live. A cake stand may become a marker of birthdays and celebrations. A weekend tote may see countless trips to the farmers market. Their repeated use creates a story to be treasured for generations.

Her signature blend of 18th century aesthetics with modern whimsy quickly garnered a loyal following, launching her brand into a wide range of lifestyle products for the home. Today, Molly Hatch collections can be found through the brand's partnerships with almost 30 gift and home goods companies. Molly works from her studio in Florence, Massachusetts, where she continues to hone her craft and make the traditional new again.
