Aleisha McCormack is an Australian author, podcaster, and TV producer. She has written, presented and produced some of Australia's most loved television and performed solo stand up comedy shows at international comedy festivals. Aleisha and her husband Rich got hitched in Melbourne in an intimate DIY wedding in 2012. Surprised by the level of A1 bullshit surrounding the wedding industry and additional pressure placed on couples to plan a 'perfect party,' Aleisha was inspired to start a podcast, Bridechilla, to inspire and empower couples to plan their own wedding without losing their sanity. Having now produced over 300 episodes and over 1 million listens of the podcast, Aleisha has built a community of free-thinking Bridechillas from all over the world, Aleisha is delighted and surprised that what she started has become a movement. In 2018 Aleisha launched her books the 'Bridechilla Survival Guide' and 'Bridechilla Field Guide.' Capturing the ethos of the podcast, The Guides are bullshit-free, useful and fun. Aleisha's next book 'The Maidchilla Manual,' a guide to being a bad-ass Bridesmaid, ditching the drama and get shit done will be released in early 2019.

Meet Alicia! She's a brand and couples photographer for the creative and young at heart. She fancies herself to be one of those graceful, put-together girls who can wear heels and not wobble, or drink martinis without spilling. But instead, she's the girl who wears Converse with dresses, sips Scotch like a 65 year old, and will most certainly spill any food or drink provided to her. Professionally, Alicia works with fun couples and creative entrepreneurs to hook them up with killer photos. And more recently she's taken her love of travel, photography, and France to begin hosting travel retreats to Paris. She has her degree in meteorology and worked as a meteorologist for four years before pursuing her photography hobby as a full-time career. #blessedaf

Hi I am Claire! I'm the founder of get found stock - a stock photography site for creative females. The reason I started Get Found Stock in the first place is because I wanted to help other creative entrepreneurs grow their business. As a wedding photographer for the past ten years, I noticed that I was consistently growing my business all due to INSTAGRAM. Once I went full force with this social media platform I was able to be booked out on a regular basis. Over time I realized that my main goal was to help other creatives do the same. One of the main issues I saw with so many creatives was their photography wasn't always so great. This lead to me creating Get Found Stock. I now help creative entrepreneurs grow their social media, brand, and business.

Fast forward to the present - Dani and Agapantha HQ are now in Los Angeles (her hometown) where she is raising her son, doing triathlons and ever so occasionally hopping on stage and performing with her musician husband.

I'm a content strategist and copywriter living and working in the Bay Area. I started my career eight years ago as a receptionist at one of the biggest publishing houses in New York City—and soon began writing book jacket copy for paperback westerns and steamy romance. I feigned brave, left my 9-5, and started my own boutique copywriting agency out of our one-bedroom Brooklyn apartment. I work with companies — from the smallest start-ups to the most complex corporations — that need product copy, brand and brand voice development, naming, and content strategy. I've worked with hundreds of designers and love collaborating in product development. I have a soft spot for work involving beauty, design, tech, and the outdoors.

My name is Maisha Dyson and I help people break through personal and professional communication barriers and become unstoppable. I am a Certified Movement Analyst (CMA), former Actor, Entrepreneur and Educator. My clients have included Authors, Entrepreneurs, Actors, Corporate Executives and other Professionals that required coaching for presentations, pitch meetings, media training, stage and film. As a CMA/Coach/Educator I have the ability to help my clients: • Apply powerful communication techniques for business, a series of verbal skills and the mindfulness of body language - the way you look, sound, move - that engage, influence, inspire and persuade. • Develop compelling content including personal stories that encourage natural communication based on shared affinities, while avoiding the habitual tendency to overwhelm your audience with too much technical information. • Skillfully manage the awkwardness and tension that naturally occurs in the body when speaking and learn to be present and comfortable. • Create speaker/presentation notes that are easy to remember and help you keep track of your content/dialogue while speaking to an audience. • Learn key techniques that make effective use of your limited time during elevator pitches. • Anticipate questions (and objections) and maintain your composure in difficult situations.
I'm Mallory! I'm a mom to two wonderful children (and another on the way!!!) and the Co-Founder and Creative Director of Taft - a direct-to-consumer men's footwear brand based in Provo, Utah. My husband, Kory and I were married in 2011 after a four month field study to India. There, I researched women's studies, and he obsessed over linguistics. We stay up too late, spend our free time talking shoes, and think our kids are the coolest people on the planet. I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2013 with an English degree and a minor in Anthropology. I have a deep love of the mountains, truly beautiful writing, and drinking tea in bed. I've also become extremely passionate about mental health as I've spent the last 7 years studying neuroscience, brain chemistry, and holistic living in an attempt to better understand my dear husband's 15-year struggle with treatment resistant depression. I am completely fascinated by the human body and passionate about helping others, particularly entrepreneurs, learn how to properly care for their mental health and avoid the entrepreneurial burnout that so many face. I'm a firm believer that no amount of monetary wealth is worth more than a healthy life.

I am a woman from the Midwest that worked/works hard to make her dreams come true. I juggle many titles: wife, daughter, sister, girl boss, entrepreneur, shop girl, and most recently added to the mix, mom. My daughter, Elizabeth Mae, is almost a year old and we absolutely adore her. My shop, Love of Character, was started 4 years ago as a small creative outlet to my corporate job, and has been growing ever since. The name comes from my search for items that are full of character - our house is almost 100 years old, and I love it's wonderful charm (even if it comes with old house baggage). Love of Character has grown from a home improvement blog to an Etsy shop to an online shop to now a brick and mortar. The front half of the store is a curated retail space, and the back half is rented out for small events. I like to say the shop is like a fancy mullet, "business in the front, party in the back!" I love that I am able to help people add character to their gifts, parties and life!

Someone once called me their “Fashion Jiminy Cricket.” When you go shopping, you can hear me whispering, “Those pants do not deserve your body, let’s keep looking.” or “Are you going to wear it? Your closet charges rent; clothes pay by being worn.” As a college fashion professor, and Anthropologie’s top personal stylist, I’ve consulted with hundreds of women and men, cleaning out their closets, helping them to embrace their body type, and discovering their personal style. Is fashion superficial? Absolutely! But wearing the right clothes can help you forget about what you’re wearing. Then you can get to work doing what is really important to you. We’ve got your formula for fashion from body type to complexion to signature style. So whether you’re plus size, pregnant, or petite, you’re going to look beautiful.

HEY, I’M BELINA. I have an obsession with color, composition, nature, patterns, and anything creative. Design has always been a part of my life. I have been lucky to enjoy the different facets of it… as a creator, as a graphic designer, and as an entrepreneur. And interior design has always been special and fascinating to me. I love making things. I got my crafty vein from my mom, who also comes from a family of crafters who sew, crocheted, etc. In 2001, after graduating from high school, I moved from my native Venezuela to Miami, FL and started my career in Advertising and Graphic Design at the University of Miami, and graduated in 2005. Since then, I have worked in a variety of projects, mainly as a graphic designer. Hi I’m Cat from thecreativeintrovert.com. One thing I’ve learned from my days as a freelance web designer and my days as a pet portrait artist; is that self knowledge: knowing our strengths, our blindspots our preferences and patterns: is key to creating a life you love to live. This is what I help my fellow creative introverts do. I work with them one-to-one or invite them to join my online community the League of Creative Introverts, to learn about themselves, and learn how to shape their lives in a way that suits their unique needs and desires. I also share what I've learned on my podcast, The Creative Introvert. I’m currently researching the links between personality types and creativity and how we can use our self-knowledge to make the most of our creative style and strengths.

My name is Arriane Serafico, a teacher, and the founder of The Purposeful Creative. We are an online learning community of why-driven women, who are on the ever-evolving journey of making purpose+passion a key part of our lives and careers. For the past 7 years, I’ve been writing, teaching, and helping thousands of people (re)discover their passion and creativity, do what they love, and explore how they could use these to create meaningful work -- work that matters to them, and matters to the world. Our school runs on project-based learning, and the core of our curriculum is built on design thinking, human-centered design, and the growth mindset. We have also baked social impact into the very fiber of our business, partnering with non-profit organizations to help young children from underserved communities gain access to education. My background (and heart) lies in development work: I’ve worked in branding/marketing, communications, and youth development programs for NGO's, the Senate of the Philippines, and in a social enterprise. I've given talks/workshops locally (in the Philippines), and internationally (Morocco and Mexico). My design thinking training and experience has spanned over 5 years, having attended classes in Stanford d.school, and The Design Gym, among others.
My name is Audrey Smit, I am the founder + designer behind This Little Street - the blog-turned-business where I create a happy world for kids. Some people get into blogging not exactly knowing what their end goal is. That was me, back in 2012 - don't get me wrong, I loved writing then....but blogging felt more like a stepping stone in my (not-so-linear) creative journey. Six years later, I have gone from blogging about design + DIYs, to designing prints and patterns for kids brands, to taking a big leap of faith and launching my own line of products/developing my own brand. In fall of 2018, I co-authored, illustrated & published the first book of a new travel series for kids called "The Adventures of Lily Huckleberry" (funded via a very successful kickstarter campaign earlier that year). The book series encourages kids to embrace the world, be brave and adventurous - and I'd love to inspire adults to do that too. Born and raised in France, I now live in Berkeley, California with my Danish Viking of a husband and our four curious little girls - who give us a good run for our money :)

My name is Carly and I am the artist behind Carly Rae Studio. I live in Kansas City and create detailed, whimsical artwork that allows people to express themselves and what they love. Carly Rae Studio started in 2013, when I was in college working towards a degree in art education. After a year of teaching, I decided to make art a full-time career. My artwork is detailed and whimsical, often make up of tiny flowers. I am inspired by color, patterns, Kansas City, sports, and nature: flowers, the ocean, the forest, the sky, animals, sunshine, palm trees and seashells. Each floral painting starts with a pencil outline of a shape and is slowly filled in with tiny watercolor flowers. My paintings are then printed on textured fine art paper. Since April 2014, I have shared my life, photos and recipes on Instagram as simplybeautifuleating. I believe that a recipe isn’t a recipe until it starts with love, is completed in your kitchen, and served with love. The food and recipes I create are simple, beautiful and I love eating them. There was a symmetry with those three words that became an ideal concept for my blog. Simply Beautiful Eating™ is an extension of who I am, fun, creative and whimsical. My true passion has always been cooking, baking and more recently, food styling and photography. I credit my cooking skills to my 96 year-old mom who has always encouraged me to watch, learn and complete the challenge of recreating her recipes. She taught me how to measure with my eyes and cook from the heart. With features on Food and Wine, Martha Stewart, Real Simple , NBC’s Today Food, Thrillist, Beautiful Cuisines, Huffington Post, and as an contributor, blogger and book reviewer for the feedfeed , Yahoo Canada and DK Publishing and Martha Stewart Living, it has been an overwhelming beginning to my new adventure – cooking and baking for the camera.

As a young girl I watched my grandpa and father run their own business. As a young college student my father gave me the experience of starting a business with him and he would help me pay for my college. This was the beginning of my entrepreneurship experience and my first business which I ran for many years. I pulled away from day to day management after having my first child but after my third child, I jumped on the entrepreneurship board again and started Saranoni, a luxury blanket company. I ran the business from my basement and a storage unit for many years until I decided to take the growth plunge and expand. I have run and grown Saranoni while being a mother to 5 children and right before I had my 6th child my husband joined the company full-time. We love being parents and business owners. Our lives can be crazy but we try to embrace the craziness. We spend a lot of late nights working together, talking about blankets and sharing our hopes for our kids. I dream of a bigger laundry room and traveling to different parts of the world with our children for humanitarian projects.

I’m Kylee— a mom boss building businesses and community from the comfiest spot on my bed. My entrepreneurial journey started with a love story. My love story. It was our first Valentine's day as an engaged couple. We were broke and saving for a wedding just a month away. I had recently shared my dreams with him of one day owning a photography business. When I went into his room that day, his xbox was gone and instead there was a box wrapped up in it's place. Inside the box was my first camera and the beginning of Kylee Ann Photography. What started as a photography business has grown into so much more. I still shoot weddings and commercial, but also lead an incredible team of photographers and employees. Our studio has grown to shoot 75 brides a year and serve so many families. In addition, I help other entrepreneurs create and grow thriving businesses of all sorts. And most importantly, I take my three kids on adventures. All it took was a dream and a boy that loved his girl more than his xbox. The gift of love, right?

In 2000, Laurie Feltheimer was a UCLA grad with degrees in political science and business administration. She was working in finance when circumstances required her to reinvent herself. She mixed a love of fashion with her business and sales experience to launch Hot in Hollywood in 2002, the line that became a HSN phenomenon by bringing celebrity style and casual glamour to everyday women. After years of success, she brought her apparel line to QVC, where her first-ever TSV on the network saw a 100 percent achievement rate. But it was the new millennium’s social media explosion that showed her how style can truly bond women, creating a place for connection and eliminating size-ism, age-ism and wealth-ism. The love of denim creates bonds between women from all walks of life, and through LAURIE FELT– LOS ANGELES, it empowers them to be the best they can be. Laurie and her small but incredibly talented girl squad team built a brand that supported this new mission at large: to help women find and feel like themselves. Denim is a rapidly growing industry today. Women don’t need another jean -- women need an exceptional jean, and brand, that can support them in their life.

I grew up in Toronto, but my very broad childhood imagination kept me dreaming of a life in New York City. In 2001, I made that dream a reality by landing a job in finance at Kate Spade, later moving onto production for Club Monaco and J. Crew. Shortly after I moved to New York, I met my husband, and 10 years later came our first son. That’s when I made the decision to leave the corporate world and start a business revolving around my dream of partying for a living. So Little Miss Party was born- a unique event planning and styling company that focuses on the special details tailored to each of our clients. From custom designs to day-of coordination, you can truly be a guest at your own party with LMP behind you. In order to make Little Miss Party successful it was imperative to build a team who could join the party with enthusiasm, dynamic personalities and creativity. Here we are today, a group of incredible women who live and love to party.

Wendy Van Ryn
By profession, I help businesses attract their ideal customers by clarifying their message and creatively expressing the value of their products, goods, or services. My goal is simple: to help entrepreneurs create lifelong brand advocates, while building the business they want. I've worked in just about every major role in the creative industry.... from communications and brand strategist to marketing coordinator, graphic designer, web developer, UI/UX consultant, and writer. (Yes, the entirety of my work experience exists in this realm!) I started my own business in 2005, and by 2011 I'd added a second: designing stationery and surface patterns. It was initially a creative outlet for fun, but I realized I could monetize my designs. I'm a creative at heart, but I think strategically and am always looking at the big picture. Part of my desire to attend and present at Alt Summit is to help entrepreneurs see another component of that big picture... one that often gets lost in the day to day operations: PLAY. On a personal note, I'm a married to a creative (a wheel designer and engineer) and am passionate about being a mom of two boys. I love people, ballet, and making art!
