Alt Summit is
THE premiere conference for creative entrepreneurs and stylish social media influencers. At our conferences, you’ll find classes and information for a broad range of skill levels. If you’ve already designed a successful line of products, if you opened your first Instagram account last month, if you’re a social media pro, or if you’re just thinking about starting a future website, then Alt Summit is for you.
It’s a landmark year for Alt Summit. Our 2019 flagship conference will mark 10 years and 15 sold-out events. To celebrate, we’re going BIG.
We’re doubling the time frame with SIX days of content.
We’re tripling the size with 2000+ attendees.
We’re quadrupling the locations with classes and sponsor spaces at four beloved Palm Springs hotspots — the Parker, the Ace Hotel, the Saguaro, and the Riviera. Each location is chic, modern and memorable.
It’s going to be our biggest and best conference yet.
We’re calling it Alt Oasis — a week long retreat to inspire your whole year.
Alt Oasis will be held on March 24th-29th, 2019 in Palm Springs, California. Tickets are on sale now. Click here to register. (Last year’s tickets sold out in under two hours. So if you’d like to grab one, go for it!)
It’s been said
that tickets to Alt Summit are life-changing. Long before Alison Faulkner of The Alison Show was hosting sold out dance parties and writing best-selling cookie books, she came to Alt Summit to learn about social media and to connect with new friends.
You've probably heard the story of Twitter breaking through and making it big at SXSW. What you might not know, is that Pinterest made the scene because of a conference as well. And that conference is Alt Summit. Before Pinterest had a multi-billion dollar valuation, Ben Silbermann, the founder, attended our conference in the hopes of meeting beta testers for his new little website. And he found them.
And did you know that 85% of Alt Summit attendees have come back more than once? Maybe even more compelling is the fact that many of the most successful people in our industry don’t like to miss a single Alt Summit.
At Alt Summit, attendees love to talk shop in a forthcoming and honest way. Our goal is to create a cooperative environment where knowledge is candid, plentiful and easily accessible, so we’re thrilled when we get feedback like this:
“It's such a unique experience being surrounded by smart creative supportive business-minded women who get all the things I do!”
– Gilit Cooper of The Bannerie
"It is the creme de la creme of social influencer conferences – it attracts the highest caliber content creators in the industry and it also attracts some of the best brand partnerships. I can trace nearly every single big brand relationship I've made over the years back to Alt. And of course, it is just a ton of fun! "
–Haeley Giambalvo of Design Improvised
"[Alt Summit] is a great place to meet honest people willing to share important knowledge in areas that are not the "typical" professions or the "typical" way of doing things. All great creative people!"
– Gabriela Cardozo of Papelon
"Worth every penny. A place where I can feel immersed in creatives from varying backgrounds who have a common goal and purpose."
– Calvina Nguyen of Make a Stir
"If you're looking for innovative ideas; unique opportunities for growth; a supportive community; and motivation and inspiration in order to grow your creative blog, brand, or business, you'll find it at Alt Summit!"
–Davon Hatchett of The Bubbleista
"Not only did I learn more than I ever anticipated, I have never been in the company of such a dynamic group of women, all there to meet and collaborate."
– Jaclynn Shweky of Set to Celebrate
"It's a girl-power packed rainbow of fun."
– Hail Nowak of All Hail Design
Where else can you both get decked out for a 80's prom party, and have a serious conversation about analytics? If you’re ready to talk shop with passionate creatives, we’ll see you at Alt Summit.
Do you ever feel
like you are a little too isolated in your work? You’d like someone who knows when to tell you “that’s a great idea!” or maybe even more helpful, “that’s a terrible idea!” Stylish business partners Melanie and Alma first met in the hall at Alt Summit. They realized pretty quickly that it was meant to be: life is short, and they shouldn’t waste any more time not collaborating. Since then they’ve launched and run both a successful online print shop and an adorably whimsical sock company!
Alt Summit is the perfect place to find a business bestie (or two) because of the completely collaborative tone of the conference. It’s not a competition or a chance to boast, it’s all about learning from each other, helping each other and cheering each other on. As Alma says, “Melanie and I have always believed in collaboration over competition. We were able to improve on another’s ideas, boost one another’s confidence, and help one another to grow.”
And if you already have a business bestie? Celebrate your relationship by partying with us at Alt!
Alt Summit was
founded in 2009. Since then, there have been 14 major events — seven flagship conferences in Salt Lake City, two flagship conferences in Palm Springs, two summer conferences in New York, one summer conference in San Francisco, and two more summer events in Salt Lake City. And there have been numerous online conferences as well.
Alt’s original name was Altitude Design Summit, but it didn’t take long for the nicknames Alt Summit and Alt to take over. The conference started as a gathering for design bloggers, and as the new media landscape has changed, our content and attendees have changed too. We now draw creative, design-appreciative entrepreneurs across all sorts of platforms — pinners, instagrammers, vloggers, shop owners, content creators, designers, and yes, still bloggers.
If you’d like to get a feel for what an Alt Summit conference is like, please check out the photos on our Flickr page — they’re organized by conference, and you can browse all 15 events.
