Alt Chat Wednesday: Innovating Authentically

Innovation is defined as a new method, idea, or product. A novelty.

As content creators and makers, we want to give our readers and fans something new. We want to delight, but not necessarily shock. We strive to innovate authentically. We want our explorations into new trends and experiments with new social platforms to be authentic to who we are and what we do.

And that’s the challenge. Where’s the line between doing more of what we know works, what brought fans and customers to us in the first place, and adopting each and every trend that comes our way?

Join the Alt community on Twitter Wednesday morning (today) at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET for an hour-long chat about innovation. We will be talking about how you discover trends, decide which ones to adopt, balance innovation with the tried and true, and more.

Marketing creative, community engagement specialist, technophile, photographer, food and wine enthusiast, and the founder and editor-in-chief of The Road to The Good Life, a lifestyle blog about appreciating and enhancing your life by being grateful for the "haves" instead of lingering on the "wants." There you will find personal stories about my life and family weaved in with real-life, achievable entertaining tips, recipes for hearty home cooked meals, and DIY projects for capturing and sharing memories. I believe the best place to swap stories is over a shared meal, preferably a Thai-meal served family style, and teach an online introduction class to Thai Flavors and host the Family Dinners at The Station supper club in San Francisco.
