5 Places for Staying Up Late in Salt Lake City

By: Carly Morgan; Photos by Brooke Dennis for Alt Summit

Looking for the perfect spot to hang out with fellow Alt Summit Winter attendees outside of the Grand America Hotel? Carly Morgan of Ever Clever Mom is back to share her favorite places light bites, dancing, fancy cocktails, and more!

The Hotel/Club Elevate

If you’re looking to do a little dancing, Club Elevate is your best bet.

Bar-X

This popular bar has the best cocktails in Salt Lake hands down and has a classic speakeasy feel.

Eva

This is the sister restaurant to Eva’s Bakery and they’re open late, featuring small plates and a nice wine list. The menu tends to change but it’s always amazing and they’re great about accommodating special diets.

The Bayou

This is my favorite bar in town, mostly because the dinner menu is amazing. It’s a little crowded and a little loud but the beer menu is epic and it’s just a short walk from the Grand America (close to the Decades thrift shop).

Whiskey Street

This is a quieter place to get a drink or an unusual appetizer while chatting with friends.

I believe the best place to swap stories is over a shared meal, preferably a Thai-meal served family style, and teach an online introduction class to Thai Flavors and host the Family Dinners at The Station supper club in San Francisco.
