A well thought out and planned event can leave guests talking about if for years to come. For some hosts, this magic seems to happen at all of their events. For other hosts, the magic proves elusive.

Join the Alt community Wednesday morning at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET for an hour-long chat about how they create original, one-of-a-kind events. We'll talk about whether we create our own themes or throw character parties, share insight into have far in advance we start our planning, and more.

Silhouette will be sponsoring this week's chat and giving away a Silhouette Portrait electronic cutting machine. Silhouette electronic cutting machines can cut a wide variety of materials including paper, vinyl, cardstock, fabric, heat transfer material, and so much more. With the included Silhouette Studio® software, you are able to create and cut your own designs and use the fonts already installed on your computer.

Want to win? Here are the details.

  1. Join the #AltChat on June 18 from 9 - 10 AM PDT, if you can.
  2. Every tweet using the hashtag #AltChat and #PartywithSilhouette will be entered to win the Silhouette Portrait electronic cutting machine. You can tweet once or tweet 17 times, each is another chance to win.
  3. Tweet all day! All tweets related to and using the hashtags #AltChat #PartywithSilhouette will be entered to win from 9 AM - 5 PM PDT. You must use both hashtags.

There you will find personal stories about my life and family weaved in with real-life, achievable entertaining tips, recipes for hearty home cooked meals, and DIY projects for capturing and sharing memories. I believe the best place to swap stories is over a shared meal, preferably a Thai-meal served family style, and teach an online introduction class to Thai Flavors and host the Family Dinners at The Station supper club in San Francisco.
