Mapping Your Day at Alt Summit

By Alt Channel teacher Kelly Beall. Photography by Justin Hackworth.

Anyone who's attended Alt – or any conference for that matter – knows just how quickly each day seems to go. One minute you're waking up, and the next thing you know it's time to go to sleep again. Since a little planning can go a long way, here are a few simple things to think about as you prepare:

  • Know what sessions you're going to attend before landing in Salt Lake City.
  • Schedule your meetings between sessions or during a meal.
  • Talk to old friends about grabbing drinks or dinner beforehand.
  • Plan out your wardrobe.
  • Bring everything you'll need for the day with you to avoid trips back to your hotel room.
  • Leave some space in your schedule for spontaneity!

Marketing creative, community engagement specialist, technophile, photographer, food and wine enthusiast, and the founder and editor-in-chief of The Road to The Good Life, a lifestyle blog about appreciating and enhancing your life by being grateful for the "haves" instead of lingering on the "wants." There you will find personal stories about my life and family weaved in with real-life, achievable entertaining tips, recipes for hearty home cooked meals, and DIY projects for capturing and sharing memories. I believe the best place to swap stories is over a shared meal, preferably a Thai-meal served family style, and teach an online introduction class to Thai Flavors and host the Family Dinners at The Station supper club in San Francisco.
