Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Chris Anderson

The keynote addresses are always a highlight of Alt and today we're thrilled to announce this year's three speakers who will be sure to inspire. First up, on Thursday right after lunch, Chris Anderson (@chr1sa) will be speaking to all the makers and entrepreneurs (that's you!).

Chris is the CEO of 3D Robotics and founder of DIY Drones. From 2001 through 2012 he was the Editor in Chief of Wired Magazine. Before Wired he was with The Economist for seven years in London, Hong Kong and New York in various positions, ranging from Technology Editor to US Business Editor.

He's the author of the New York Times bestselling books The Long Tail and Free as well as the new Makers: The New Industrial Revolution.  In 2007 he was named to "Time 100," the newsmagazine's list of the 100 most influential men and women in the world.

He currently resides in Berkeley, California with his wife and five children.

We're thrilled Chris will be joining us for Alt 2013 and can't wait to hear his remarks!

Marketing creative, community engagement specialist, technophile, photographer, food and wine enthusiast, and the founder and editor-in-chief of The Road to The Good Life, a lifestyle blog about appreciating and enhancing your life by being grateful for the "haves" instead of lingering on the "wants." There you will find personal stories about my life and family weaved in with real-life, achievable entertaining tips, recipes for hearty home cooked meals, and DIY projects for capturing and sharing memories. I believe the best place to swap stories is over a shared meal, preferably a Thai-meal served family style, and teach an online introduction class to Thai Flavors and host the Family Dinners at The Station supper club in San Francisco.
