Pinterest is a form of social media all of its own. This year Pinterest changed their algorithms.  With a smart feed in place, pins are weighed for value and how likely a Pinner is to interact with a Pin. And this is influenced in part by how often a brand pins to Pinterest.

So while it is healthy and important to take breaks over the upcoming holidays, you will want to have a plan in place for your Pinterest boards so your audience stays connected! Below are 4 tips for scheduling your Pinterest pins for your holiday break.

while it is healthy and important to take breaks over the upcoming holidays, you will want to have a plan in place for your Pinterest boards so your audience stays connected!

1. Use programs to schedule your Pinterest content, and remember to add some of your own content to the queue.

  • Buffer works across several social media platforms including Pinterest. Their standard plan is $10 a month to connect 10 social profiles.
  •  Viraltag started as a Pinterest Social Media marketing tool and now works with a variety of social media platforms. $29 a month to connect 10 social profiles.
  • Tailwind still focuses exclusively on Pinterest marketing and management. They have unlimited pin scheduling for $10 a month.
  • Viralwoot includes a free option in which  you are given 30 "seeds." As you follow other users in their network, like, and pin, you are given more "seeds" to promote your brand on Pinterest.
  • BoardBooster includes 100 scheduled pins for free, then prorates the price by pins per month (500, 1,000, 2,000, etc.)

2. If you want to avoid the cost of a program, have a mobile platform in place for keeping up to date on blog posts: for example Bloglovin' or Feedly. You can check blog posts once a day while on vacation and pin accordingly.

3. Check your Pinterest analytics. You can watch how your overall profile is doing, as well as content from your site.

4. Relax, and if your analytics drop a little over the holidays, things will pick up again as your pinning schedule goes back to normal.
