Creating Your Vision and Setting Actionable Goals
Monique Malcolm

The New Year just started. It's 2016! And it's a great time to discuss how to really accomplish your big goals. Goal setting is something that everyone knows they should be doing, but few people actually do well. This session is all about creating your vision and setting actionable goals. Monique's presentation will cover vision (getting clear about the big picture), goal (choosing what you want to achieve this year), and plan (how to manage your goals on a quarterly and monthly basis).

Workflow to Wow
Helen Jane Hearn and Margit Detweiler

OMIGOSH RUNNING A SITE IS SO FUN AND HARD. But with smart workflow it doesn't have to be. Hear from two web veterans about how they bring an original theme and visual content to life every week. They'll cover things like going beyond the editorial calendar, how to create a genius workflow combining modern tools with asset numbers and traditional "magazine" systems, how to build a team that works efficiently and is invested (even if you can't pay them a whole lot), how to find the right publishing cadence, and why social streamlining is key.

4:15p - 5:15p  Early Bird Session II

Fail Big! Key Strategies on How to Rebound from Professional and Personal Failures and Hardships, and Reinvent Ourselves
Olivia Omega

After launching a successful business and appearing on a national talk show three times in a row, Olivia's son was diagnosed with autism, her husband left and her business crumbled all in the same week. She had failed. And for a couple years, she went dark, hiding from everyone (especially other women entrepreneurs she had encouraged along the way) because of the shame. It took some time, but she was able to heal from the pain of losing what she had worked so hard for and find ways to come back even stronger with a new sense of self. Come to this class and get ready to rebound!
